CONVECTION OVENS

  • This is an oven that has a fan in the back wall to blow the hot air around. When baking ensure this fan is set to low.
  • The first step is and always will be heating your oven properly. Heat your oven to 325 degrees. Give it time to properly heat so that you have even baking. Do NOT trust the thermometer on the oven itself. At Twickman's we give our ovens twenty minutes to heat up properly.
  •  Do not leave the oven door open for any period of time. This will let out precious heat that is needed for a cookie worth remembering.
  • Bake cookies at 325 degrees with the fan on low for 12 -13 minutes.
  • For a softer cookie reduce cook time by one minute.
  • For a crispier cookie increase cook time by one minute.
  • Please note that all ovens are a little different. We suggest baking one cookie first to see what time works best for your tastes.
